Meet the Bakers

Not Your Average Curbing is a family business and passion project for the Baker family. Both Blake and Heather are hardworking individuals, ready to get their hands dirty to ensure the work gets done properly every time.

Blake hailing from McCrory, Arkansas and Heather from Newport News, Virginia, met in 2003 and have traveled across the country for 15 years with careers in Pipeline Construction before settling in Davenport, FL in 2020.

Blake, a retired Navy Man, worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator while Heather, with previous years of experience in the medical field, worked as a welder in the top of her field.

Florida gave the Bakers a chance to take their love for English Bulldogs to a new level with their highly trusted Breeding Company, Not Your Average Bulldogs, that they run year-round but still left them time to spare.

Blake, looking for just the right endeavor to take on found, Domestic Landscape Curbing with the Lil’ Bubba® Curb System and he knew it was exactly what he was looking for. From there, the Bakers chose to plant roots and take on their future as Professional Landscape Curbing Artisans, delivering the finest concrete curbing installations to the Polk County and surrounding areas.

Blake and Heather are the leaders of a strong family and work hard to instill their personal values in their daughter, pictured with them. They both believe in taking the time to do every job right the first time, leaving each and every customer excited for their new curbing installation.
